Why is Measure G Important?

MEASURE G will provide vital funding to Davis schools to support our STUDENTS, TEACHERS, and COMMUNITY.
Prepare our STUDENTS for the future

Davis schools are dedicated to preparing our students for college and 21st century careers. Measure G provides local funding that stays in our schools and helps ensure our students have access to the best possible educational support from teachers and staff.

Attract and retain quality TEACHERS

Many of our teachers are expected to retire within 5 years, and our District receives less state funding than other districts, making it difficult to compete for new teachers.  Measure G helps Davis attract and retain talented educators now and into the future.

Preserve educational excellence for our COMMUNITY

Davis has a long-standing commitment to providing high quality and diverse educational programs accessible to all students.  Measure G will help preserve the strong reputation we enjoy as a highly desirable community in which to live and raise a family.

MEASURE G at a Glance:
  • $198 tax per parcel.
  • All funds will go to teacher and staff compensation.
  • A citizens’ oversight committee will ensure funding is spent as intended.
  • Exemptions will be offered for seniors to support those on limited incomes.
